Brightfield checklist

• Make sure that the condenser is set to the correct position for the objective
  • See the "Condenser for DIC" column
• Make sure everything (including your slide) along the lightpath is clean / free of dust
  • If using DIC, use the air puffer to blow dust off the polarizer.
• Perform Kohler Alignment using the 10x objective
  • See the Nikon guide for step-by-step instructions
• DIC only: Make sure the objective-specific DIC slider is inserted
• If using DIC, slide the polarizer in the lightpath. Otherwise keep it empty.

TwinCam DM severely reduces light throughput

If doing single camera acquisitions, make sure the TwinCam DM is removed.
